Blue Monday of Magic Monday?

Blue Monday (deprimaandag) is een dag die volgens zeggen, de meest deprimerende dag van het jaar is, als we de Britse psycholoog Cliff Arnall mogen geloven. De beste man bedacht in 2005 een wetenschappelijk verantwoorde formule waaruit zou blijken dat de maandag van de laatste volle week van januari de dag is waarop de meeste mensen zich treurig, neerslachtig of weemoedig voelen. De voornemens die we bedacht zouden hebben, zouden onderhand jammerlijk mislukt zijn en het is nog te vroeg om uberhaupt aan een vakantie te denken.

Misschien ben ik tegendraads hoor, of misschien zie ik het anders dan anderen, maar het eerste wat mijn brein denkt is...hoezo Blue Monday met zo'n magisch getal? Het mag alle jaren Blue Monday zijn, maar deze Monday niet! Deze maandag kunnen we ons niet permitteren om ongelimiteerd depressief op de bank te gaan hangen, te zappen en de hele dag als een zombie voor ons uit te staren. Deze energie moet je benutten om aan de slag te gaan. Dat kan toch niet anders op 20 januari 2020? Alles wat we nu inzetten wordt goud! Een beter woord voor deze maandag vind ik Magic Maandag.

Om mijn verhaal te bevestigen heb ik de numerologie erbij gepakt. Hoe magic is deze maandag eigenlijk?

Als mijn berekeningen juist zijn, is het getal dat bij deze dag hoort een 7. Hier kom je op uit als je de getalen 2+0+0+1+2+0+2+0 bij elkaar optelt.

In de tarot en de numerologie staat het getal 7 voor spiritualiteit en geluk. Het getal 7 wordt ook vaak gebruikt in Bijbelse verhalen. Zo zijn er ook 7 continenten, 7 dagen in de week, 7 chakra's. Er is ook een oude filosofie dat de mens elke 7 jaar een nieuwe cyclus van hun leven in gaat. Het getal 7 is ook het getal voor introspectie en intuitie.  Een prima dag dus om ons leven te overdenken, met de wetenschap dat we mooie inzichten kunnen ontvangen.

De kaarten die ik voor deze dag heb getrokken is de kaart van Overvloed en Geduld. Het gaat om het inzicht dat we krijgen en het gaat erom dat we zaken relativeren. Het is geen dag om tot snelle actie over te gaan, maar om lange termijn plannen te maken. Amsterdam en Rome werden ook niet op 1 dag gebouwd. In deze wereld waarin alles maakbaar blijkt te zijn, is geduld vaak onderbelicht. Toch is dit een heel mooi inzicht. Want met ruimte, licht en geduld kunnen we heel veel bereiken. We kunnen daardoor open staan voor nieuwe mooie inzichten in ons leven, die ons de ruimte geven onze nieuwe weg in te gaan. De ervaringen die je hebt opgedaan, neem je met je mee. Er is geen goed of fout wat dat betreft. Het zijn levenservaringen die ons geholpen hebben te zijn wie we nu zijn. Die bagage hebben we nodig, de komende tijd en de komende jaren. Onze intuitie gaat ons verder brengen. Onze inzichten zijn nu goud waard. Alles wat we aanraken wordt goud. Over alles waar we anders over gaan denken, komt een gouden laag heen. De kracht van het scheppen, de kracht van eenheid en intuitie. De kracht van geduld en tijdloosheid. Laat jezelf meevoeren door de flow van het universum en voel deze maandag aan als een Magic Monday. Enjoy!

The intentions that we would have thought up would have failed miserably by now and it is still too early to think of a holiday at all.

Maybe I am contrary, or maybe I see it differently than others, but the first thing my brain thinks is ... why Blue Monday with such a magical number? It may be Blue Monday all years, but not this Monday! This Monday we cannot afford to hang on the couch indefinitely depressed, zapping and staring out at us like a zombie all day. You need to use this energy to get started. Why otherwise on January 20, 2020? Everything we do now becomes gold! Magic Monday is a better word for this Monday.

It is not a day to take rapid action, but to make long-term plans. Amsterdam and Rome were also not built in 1 day. In this world where everything turns out to be feasible, patience is often underexposed. Yet this is a very nice insight. Because with space, light and patience we can achieve a lot.
